Rose de Berne is a dependable and beautiful tomato for general purpose use. Its fruits are blocky, on the squat side, with a warm hue that is nearly peachy, often with a spot of yellow. Their skin is smooth and taut, pulled against a unique "architecture" that suggests subtle vertical ribbing. The flesh is tasty, on the dry side, great for cooking, slicing, and saucing.
